WESTLOCK – Rising crime rates are putting extra strain on Westlock County's firefighting resources, with an uptick in calls related to stolen vehicles being torched, according to John Biro, Manager of Protective Services for Westlock County

Westlock County Enforcement Services strengthening relationships with Westlock RCMP, Alberta Sheriff’s Office, and local fire departments.

In addition to attracting new businesses, the county needs to support existing businesses.

The WeCan Food Basket Society is run by volunteers and is a non-profit organization.

The Town of Westlock continues to operate with an adopted interim budget
