WESTLOCK – Westlock County Council approved the 2025 interim operating budget of $21,141,383 and capital budget of $1,956,635, during their regular meeting on Dec. 10.

Westlock County's firefighters were recognized and celebrated at the Annual Fire Appreciation Awards ceremony.

CLYDE – The Village of Clyde council passed its 2025 interim operating and budgets during their regular meeting on Dec. 9. The operating budget has a revenue of $1,896,037 with expenses of $1,893,117.

Police are still searching for the fourth youth charged and for the victim's vehicle.

Westlock RCMP are warning the public about a text message scam involving speeding violation tickets. Westlock RCMP have received reports of a scam that is circulating throughout Alberta.

Claire Leveque of Westlock was killed in Scotland in February and her boyfriend is charged with murder.
