Members of the Thorhild Ukrainian Dancers' Group 5, ages 14-16, provided a bit of inspiration to the younger Westlock dancers at last Saturday's Malanka celebration at the Westlock and District Community Hall. About 400 people attended the event.

A rash of vehicle thefts in Westlock County may have come to an end with the recent recovery of a large amount of stolen property and the arrest of five people believed to have been involved in the thefts.

A Westlock couple are feeling frustrated and worried about the possibility of identity theft after falling prey to an employment scam advertised through the local paper.

An early afternoon fire on a rural property about 10 kilometres southeast of Westlock destroyed a garage and three vehicles last Thursday, but fortunately nobody was injured.
