Hopping on the PC nomination bandwagon isn’t a decision to be taken lightly — it’s a big job and for each of the candidates, it means big changes in their personal and professional lives.

Here we go again. As we all know by now, the Pembina Hills school division finds itself without a superintendent under fairly suspicious circumstances. And once again, no one is saying anything about what those circumstances are.

They tempt us, they goad us. They are spiteful, they are beneficent and as they smile ever so sweetly at our ambition and vanity, they are often quite irresistible. Come the new year, come the resolutions.

The start of a new year means different things to different people. For some, it’s a chance to wash away the troubles of the past and start fresh.

Dear Editor, Premier Redford has announced her intentions to enact legislation preventing parents from smoking in their cars while children are riding with them. I'm sure we all applaud the Premier's desire to protect the children of Alberta.
