The driver of a grain truck got a surprise last month when his truck broke through the town roadway near Westlock Terminals.

Henry Lipka polishes up the engine of his 1935 Chevy pickup at the Westlock Wheels of Class Show and Shine on Sunday. It took Lipka two years and hundreds of hours to restore the truck to its former glory. It does have a hood, but he said he prefers to drive without it because he likes the look and the reactions he gets from people he drives past. A 21-year-old Westlock woman is dead following a weekend collision on Highway 2 north of Clyde. In the morning of June 30, Westlock RCMP responded to a report of a collision about one kilometre north of the Clyde turnoff.

Village of Clyde Coun. Diana Vosseler has resigned her seat at the council table, prompting a probable summer byelection. Vosseler first announced her resignation in a letter to village interim CAO Annette Schwab on June 1.
